UpStage Artists is a 501-3c non-profit community theater located in Beltsville, MD. We average 200 people per performance run and we have 4 performance runs per year, with 6 shows per performance. Our average audience number for each performance run is 200-250 people. Our goal is to make theater accessible to everyone in the community. We do this in a number of ways, first and foremost by keeping our ticket prices at $10.00. This allows a family to spend a night out at the theater without breaking the bank. We also encourage those who have always wanted to give theater a try, whether on stage or behind stage, to come out and work with us. We have had several shows where performers were on the stage for the first time. We also do one children’s show per season. Our last show sold out every performance, with approximately 320 patrons coming to see it. We also participate in community events, raise money for charities and do free performances for a local retirement home a few times a year. Your donation would allow us to continue to bring quality theater to the community at large for a reasonable price. It also allows us to teach people to perform and work in theater.
